How and Where to Obtain tZETA for Testing the Emmet.Finance Bridge

1. What is tZETA?

tZETA is a test token used on the Testnet by ZetaLabs. It provides developers and testers with the ability to experiment and test their applications without using real funds.

2. Why Do You Need tZETA?

To test the functionalities of the Emmet.Finance Bridge on the Testnet, you'll need tZETA. Just as you would need real tokens on the main network, tZETA is essential for covering transaction fees and other operations during the testing phase on the testnet.

3. How to Obtain tZETA:

  • Visit the ZetaLabs Faucet.

  • Your Twitter account must be over 1 month old and have at least 10 followers.

  • You can request ZETA once every 48 hours.

  • Follow the instructions provided on the faucet page to receive your Goerli ZETA.

4. How to Use tZETA on Emmet.Finance Bridge:

Before you can use tZETA on the Emmet.Finance bridge, you'll need to add the ZetaChain testnet to your MetaMask wallet. Here's how:

Adding ZetaChain to MetaMask:

  1. Open MetaMask Click on the MetaMask extension icon in your browser.

  2. Select the Network Dropdown At the top of the MetaMask window, click on the network dropdown (it might say "Ethereum Mainnet" or another network name).

  3. Add Custom RPC Scroll down and select "Custom RPC" to add a new network.

  4. Enter Network Details:

  5. Save and Select Network After entering the details, click "Save." The ZetaChain Testnet should now be available in the network dropdown.

  6. Using tZETA: Once you've added the ZetaChain testnet and obtained tZETA, you can use it to test the functionalities of the Emmet.Finance bridge. Ensure you're connected to the ZetaChain Testnet on MetaMask. To start testing, visit the Emmet.Finance Bridge and follow the provided instructions.

5. Important Notes:

  • Remember, tZETA has no real-world value and should only be used for testing purposes.

  • Always ensure you're on the correct network to avoid loss of real funds.
